What is The Business Technology Standard?

The Business Technology Standard has been in use for over 12 years and continues to evolve with version 4.5 being launched on March 12th , 2021.

The updated version contains the new operating model for data governance and management, a renewed business technology governance model as well as extensions to the roles and responsibilities model to take account of how data is handled.

With this increased focus on data the Business Technology Standard is helping organisations use data to increase efficiency and reduce costs, get better awareness of where your business’ time and money is going and where efficiencies can be increased.

It also helps organisations manage risk by gaining greater visibility and awareness of data and consequently where the gaps and risks are. This allows you to identify and mitigate the risks early on.

The Business Technology Standard remains open source and is suitable for both the public and private sector. As more organisations use the Business Technology Standard it will continue to evolve further.
